ROYAL HELLENIC (GREEK) FORCES

 

840 infantrymen of the Royal Hellenic Battalion arrived in Korea on 9 December 1950. Once equipped and trained, this battalion was assigned to the U.S. 1^st Cavalry Division’s 7^th Cavalry Regiment. Augmented by a second battalion shortly after the Korean War ended in a cease-fire, these units returned to their country in December 1955.
